 There is great concern for the fast degrading environmental situation that results in abysmal living conditions for the poor women in congested urban slums or rural areas. Integral to the Health Project are the constant social action programmes such as marches, demonstrations and demands to urge state/central governments and the municipalities to remove garbage, set up proper drainage facilities strengthen polio eradication measures, carry out anti-malarial measures, establish safe drinking water facilities, improve housing and other environmental conditions, and so on.
